woooohoooo! thankz to elfie rafie, i just found out that my uncle's disbanded rock band, Odyssey is featured in the recently launched Warna album which i-totally-forget-the-album-name.. hehe.. im so proud of u cik sani! haha gua caya sama lu! ok kental.. and my dad told me stories about this band, how it is formed, how one of the members married his cousin yada yada yada..

my current mood right now: hip hip hoooray! the deadline for the individual assignment ACF 322 has been extended till next wednesday which means more time to produce a quality piece of work..

watched the annual drama production titled sangkar harapan.. two thumbs up (plus the toe thumbs) to the whole production crew.. One of the few productions that I enjoyed watching due to the strong theme and plot that the drama hopes to convey.. Abstract, a tinge of humour, sarcasm, realities of life, music, fantasy add colours to the drama.. And most importantly, about woman vs the patriarcial society, the role of teacher-the juggle between idealism & realism and the concept of beauty.. I have to say that the drama sparks off questions in me - Who am I? and whats my role in this society?

oh ya! my takeaway from the drama is the song bagaikan puteri.. kental & kekek song i know..
how fantasy and reality can never co-exist.. sometimes in our life we dream of a perfect and ideal life but when reality sets in, it vanishes all those dreams away.. but i strongly believe that hard work & attitude are essential to keep us going..

my current hobby right now: observe, reflect & think.. ya.. i know such a boring thing to do.. i dont know why but as the age 23 began to engulf me, im beginning to see the real world..

one issue that sparks my interest is about people and words.. i feel that nowadays words are plentiful.. the flood of careless n cheap words bombards everywhere.. no no.. dont get me wrong.. im not implying that its better to be silent and meditate..the real art of conversation i believe is the actions that accompany the words and not merely vomitting the words.. everyone can talk but not everyone can speak as Plato once said "Wise man talk because they have something to say ; fools , because they have to say something."

Relationship.. Aha! another interesting issue to talk about.. and hence thats the reason for the attached picture.. im moving on, oh yes finally but sometimes i do doubt and question what lies ahead of me esp after yesterday's incident.. Guess im too accustomed to this single life..

Itz soooo heartwarming to be remembered and appreciated by students although u are not teaching them anymore.. I feel that thatz the greatest gift that a teacher can ask for.. Having said that, an ex student of mine approached me at the boon lay interchange while Im on my way back from school with the galz. Apology to khairul (although u wont be reading this) for taking some time to remember u.. Haf a quick chat with him, asking howz hez doing etc etc.. and i met with another group of primary 4 boyz when alighting from the bus 300.. Itz uber-ultra-very sweet of them to alight from the same bus they already board just to salam me.. Their hyper, excited, innocent, naive look on their faces just touched me, considering how i was so strict-mean-wicked to them before.. haha.. so, i chatted with them while waiting for another bus to arrive coz i feel guilty as they purposely missed the bus juz to greet me.. it amazed me how at such a yong age, they are able to voice out their honest and sincere opinions and views aboout the teachers, school, the system.. ended the coversation with a few words of advice, and off they board the next bus, waving goodbye to me.. =)

anywayz, juz wanna share the extra work teachers have to do besides conducting lessons.. below are the newsletters for the parents, reporting to them what we have been doing with their kids..lol. i can still remember that me and the other staff were complaining and cursing when doing this a few years back coz each of us has to actually prepare one for each class for each term, mind you.. leceh kan..

Ended the first week of skol by helping out at the perbayu stall.. catch a glimpse of the NIE Project Runway and i haf to admit that this year models/costumes are drop dead gorgeous.. and ainee is like getting excited over this suria celebrity *gasp* that we bumped into, "eh! tu actor suria kan? hensem sey!" i replied, "aku rasa dia datang untuk support gf dia lah.. dah jom balik letak kuih ni (with my eyes stealing a glimpse of him..lol)" speaking of the kuih, we actually make a trip to the malay lecturers' room to sell them and i haf to thank Dr R for being so generous to buy half of the bulk.. after which, we packed up and slack, eat and rot at NTU..

tmr off to bt timah cc wif the BIG bag of makeup.. wanna start my skol work but the long break is fully occupied with stuff.. wherez my priority? takpe.. baru first week.. relax2 jap.. then nanti towards the end of the sem macam ayam berak kapor..

on a sidenote, i tink bollywood/indonesian celebrities are gorgeous, cantik giler, jambu maut.. see what i mean..

Okie dokie.. skipped the part where i did not blog.. tons of outings and gatherings and birthday celebration to update, but im such a lazy bum bum..

im actually procrastinating aimlessly(?) now.. no no.. not because of examz or essays but about makeup! im in charge of building the make up set for the upcoming Khilaf, a theater production and the best part is I have to get everything ready by wednesday and i have not even buy anything.. The whole of last week is spent recce-ing and survey-ing the prices.. and make up is not cheap i tell u.. as usual, most production has a budget to adhere to and the foundation alone can cost up to 200 buckz..

Okie dokie! This is a rambling entry about the sch experience and for those who are not teachers wannabe or haf no passion in teaching or whatsoever, pardon me yar..

Sch experince in the primary school is FUN! weeeeeeee... I wanna thank Cikgu Nasrudin for his wonderful coaching.. He taught me how to construct a proper lesson plan, shared tips in classroom management blah blah blah and even gave me a template observation sheet.. Interestingly, this school malay department is has only 1 female teaher and the rest male.. funny ah.. rarely come across a malay department flooded with male teachers..

oh ya.. cikgu wasted like 5 minutes on the first day teaching each level a new song just to greet me.. im touched.. seriously.. so here it goes..

Im like blushing and tersipu malu mcm kambing biri-biri when they greeted me with that song.. so dengan muka penuh semangatnya, im trying to be ultra responsive by saying "apa kata kita dedikasikan lagu yang sama kepada cikgu nasrudin?" but i received blank faces and absolute silence from the students which translates to they dun understand the meaning of dedikasikan.. cikgu then intervene by asking the students to sit down and continue with his lesson.. *deng*

So... On the last day, friday, i decided to be oh wanita melayu terakhir by wearing the baju kurung.. So when i entered the hall, instead of saying hello and hi (which prabu usually does), he is like, "Why are u wearing that outfit?! Dont u know that every friday is a workout/exercise day?"

So imagine me clad in baju kurung, doing some stretching exercise, jumping jack with only the hands moving, jog on the spot etc.. and some soul (u know who) even asked me to remind him to wear sarong next friday! lol.. I was perspiring profusely after that (that shows that i haf not been exercising) and while heading towards the saff room after that while wiping my sweat, a student exclaimed "cikgu! nari baju cikgu cantik ah!" Dengan muka tempe and tak tahu malu, i replied, "baju je cantik, cikgu tak cantik ke?"

an interesting conversation with cikgu R after he went for his friday prayers.. He just joined the teaching force last year and hez like sharing his practicum experience and the lecturers etc.. im like SUPER SCARED after hearing his story.. he told me that how the lectures can be super nice in skol but super nasty and strict when it comes to practicum especially ........ imagine getting a D for classroom management and one of his frends actually quit when he failed his practicum..

oh ya.. i received an email from mdm tan.. shez uber sweet lah.. This kind of email really lit up my day and motivates me to teach teach teach and inspire me to be a dedicated educator!

To you it may be just a help-out but to the Management you are someone who is willing to go that extra mile for the pupils. I am sure you will be a good and dedicated teacher in the future. Keep up this good spirit! Hope you are posted to our school next year for the Teaching Assistantship, so that we can have more opportunities to work together and learnt from each other.

back to cikgu class, (ok.. this entry is like messy but im just typing what i can recall) hez like super funny in his lessons and i haf to put on a straight face to prevent myself from laughing.. One whole week of observation made me realize what a boring/strict/no nonsense teacher i used to be.. for example the use of extrinsic motivation and punishment (sound familiar?)

Met sulaiman and shahril for our meetup per semester thingy.. last sem at pizza hut and this sem at seoul garden.. sadly, siti cant make it coz of some last minute thing.. sulaiman managed to purchase adidas cap while waiting for the most senior member to arrive.. sempat tersengih sengih walaupun dah sejam lambat.. lol.. spent like 3++ hours, chatting and eating sampai perut nak meletup.. *burpp* chatted stuff like shahril holiday experience.. a total of 10k++++ spent excluding flight.. WOW.. i only managed to reach that mark only after my age reached 20 and he spent it like in 2 weeks?

Lucky dude who gets a babe for massage instead of a guy (which he claimed aku betol2 taknak..yak yak), thai show (which i overheard as tiger show), overseas food and dining experience, hotel etc etc.. found out that sulaiman is posted to my sis skol.. lol.. aku akan pastikan yang kau kene bully.. heh.. so guys, next sem kat mana kat mana?

today's induction at the primary school is FUN! weeeeee.. happy to see familiar faces like crystal.. and make frenz with the new teachers, especially this new tamil teacher, forgot his name already, (prabu?) hez getting overly excited about this unisex toilet.. hahaha.. in case you are wondering, this school actually has a unisex toilet shared by both male and female staff.. As the female staff population in the school is overwhelming, they actually convert the male toilet to a unisex toilet but the female toilet toilet still remains.. get it? hehe.. so mdm tan jokingly remind us to always lock the door when doing our business in case the other species suddenly pop up.. lol

the school actually won the happy toilet award.. The female toilet is awesome i tell u.. ok.. jakun.. Therez like curtains and flowers and potted plants and chairs and mini table and it lookz more like a room rather than a toilet..

Pool At Safra
Met up with the galz at tamp for kayaking.. Initially, the weather is not too kind to us and thus we headed down to safra for a game of pool while waiting for the sun to shine.. Itz been ages since i play but it was pretty fun. Teamed up with feeza and we won! Thankz to ain and sarah who pocketed our cue balls..

Although my legs are aching due to this activity, but it was fun! Paired up with ain this time around and shez really good in teaching us how to paddle, turn etc.. Had a race with the other pair-feeza and sarah and we won! I was more excited in keeping the motivation level up like "Cepat kayuh, ain! cepat! cepat!" rather than paddling.. lol..

Finally, lunch at mad jack.. By the time we reached there, legs aching, tummy rumbling.. The brownie topped with vanilla ice cream is superb!

Went to gentarasa with my klas.. Haf a quick meal before the show at secret recipe.. The performance was ok, and the thing that glued me to my seat is the part that showcased the harimau aka cicak aka katak.. haha after which the galz hang out for a while to plan our next outing.. sentosa, museum, zoo, botanic garden, downtown, u name it.. Kudos to Ain who prepared the vacation plan..

I dun tink the lack of attention should be used as an excuse for you to hunt for otherz.. If u sincerely love her, u shud be alwayz by her side..

holidayz are a great time to slack and enjoy.. a sneak preview of what i have been doing for the past week..

** went to school with the galz after which we watched Hansel and Gretel, a horror movie.. my verdict: 2.5/5 popcorn
** called up both schools that im posted to and im required to attend the induction programme.. the teacher in charge is soooo friendly and im looking forward to start my day at the primary school but NOT the secondary school.
** went to arab street wif taufik to buy some clothez for mom, aunty (*winks*) and ate at zam zam.. Yum Yum! bumped into his fren who he claimed that he is a metrosexual.. but i kinda admire the way he dressed up and how he potray himself.. unique and different from other guys..
** meet up with fir and nizam and spent some time at arcade.. They juz cant stop uttering phrases like "siak ah" "apa siak" regardless of whether they win or lose. And fir declared himself as *sharp shooooter* in all aspects of his life.. LOL..
** shopping wif fav galfren, siti
** when im at home, my life revolves ard eating, sleeping, watchng tv, laptop.. No wonder fats are accumulating here and there..euuuuu.. My initial plan is to jog every nite with my dad (who is a regular jogger) but i only managed to do it ONCE in the whole of one week..
** cook! i juz loveeee cooking.. took over mom role in preparing meals for the family.. nasi ayam, nasi lemak, ayam masak merah, daging, sotong, udang oatz, sotong, stir fried vegetables.. and bake some brownie fudge which taste goood (self praise)..
** spring cleaning my room.. sort out the notez (shudnt i be doing that before the examz?) and cleared my study table.. arranged my wadrobe.. weeeeeee.. found some old pic while cleaning up.. jolt memories from my JC dayz...

Exams are over but im feeling neither liberated nor free nor excited nor happy.. I dun know why.. Perhapz because of the lack of preparation.. Well, i guess i haf to blame myself for the last minute revision..

DrP first paper is harder than expected. I haf no idea what the heck is fonotaktik bunyi vokal. Went blank for a while..

Next stop is EncikA paper.. I shall describe the invigilator rather than the paper..heh.. EncikA kept pacing up and down the row during the paper.. Fine.. Tu tak pasal.. What DISTRACTS me is he abruptly brakeeee near my desk coz im the last candidate for the module.. From the corner of my eyes, I could see his shoes and I can sense that hez trying to take a sneak preview of my oh so legible handwriting.. And I was right coz he pointed out to me that i did not write the question number on top of the page.. I was like helooooooooooo, im more interested in scribbling the answers rather then writing the question number and can u pls dont stand there coz i cant concentrate!

The last is DrR paper.. Indescribable.. I dont even know what im writing and i spent most of my time thinking of what to write rather than what i have studied.. But but but during the first few minutes of the paper when im engrossed, i heard a voice "ada soalan tak?" i looked up and saw DrR.. I swear that this time his smile and dimples are like sooooooo sweet.. im speechless and i juz shake my head like an idiot.. ok ok.. i better stop now..

A quick meal after the paper with the gals-me, faezah, feeza and sarah after which i visited my grandmother.. Miss her sooo much lah..

Ok.. Apparently, someone (should not mention his name, hehe) has been bugging me to re open this blog to update about my oh so interesting life. soooooo.. here it goes...

my previous blog has been dead and I cant even remember how it looks like! hehe.. Due to e time spent in preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, organizing trips, gossiping about some teachers, meeting whiny parents and the list goes on..
I miss those times.. I miss the school.. I miss my students.. I miss them calling me "Cikgu Shaheedaaaaaaaa!"

I seriously and urgently need motivation to complete those piling assignments.. Im such a born slacker.. I can happily wasting my time rotting at fast food outlets (with fir and nizam), shopping (with farah), watching movie (with siti etc..) so, those names mentioned above, u guys have a part to play if I flunk any of my modules! heh.. nah.. u guyz r frenz worth keeping.. =)
